Sailing into unchartered territory

 

We have to admire our fore fathers, the founders of new worlds. Exploring the places where no one has dared to go before.

 

What made them different? Was it a sense of adventure or curiosity to see what lay beyond the horizon or as then known, the end of the world where sea monsters lived or would it be an oasis?

 

They set sail from their safe harbours to explore the challenges of the wide open oceans.

 

Look at what they found!

Navigation – only by stars- no GPS or depth meters or charts. Their curiosity or sense of adventure made it possible for us to navigate today.

 
The only certainty was that there cannot be 2 captains at the helm.  

When this is clear, set sail to unchartered territory and discover what lies beyond the end of the world.

Whatever happens, my voyage has already begun. I am exploring unchartered territory. I love the wind in my hair and my feet in the ocean.

The adversity of diversity

Adversity : A difficult or unpleasant situation (misfortune, trouble, difficulty, hardship, distress, disaster, heartbreak, misadventure etc.) Diversity : A range of different things (variety, miscellany, assortment, mixture, mix, range, medley,etc.) There was a time not so long ago when diversity was "the in thing". We travelled, met people, experienced new places, shared ideas, encouraged people to better situations, find solutions to their challenges etc. What the hell happened? Why is it that when I look at the news, newspaper, speak to people at social gatherings to find  time and time again that I get hit by the wall : diversity is all of a sudden the new adversity! The best way I could express myself was simple: I travel often. A great number of times I am able to learn the  basics of the language of the country I travel to. I mean basic.
