Why projects never gets finished


I recently had the pleasure of spending time with a client. What fascinated me, was the amount of unfinished projects that surrounded her home.

Why did I find this fascinating? I her working life, she is so particular and through and painfully meticulous by time and yet in her personal life, the amount of "later" projects are chaotic, unfocused and show no time of ending?

Curiously I asked which project she intends to follow through?

I was met with a blank stare.

What will you finish if there is no pressure to finish a project?

The adversity of diversity

Adversity : A difficult or unpleasant situation (misfortune, trouble, difficulty, hardship, distress, disaster, heartbreak, misadventure etc.) Diversity : A range of different things (variety, miscellany, assortment, mixture, mix, range, medley,etc.) There was a time not so long ago when diversity was "the in thing". We travelled, met people, experienced new places, shared ideas, encouraged people to better situations, find solutions to their challenges etc. What the hell happened? Why is it that when I look at the news, newspaper, speak to people at social gatherings to find  time and time again that I get hit by the wall : diversity is all of a sudden the new adversity! The best way I could express myself was simple: I travel often. A great number of times I am able to learn the  basics of the language of the country I travel to. I mean basic.
