The uncertainties we cannot escape

The uncertainties we cannot escape

Whilst travelling, we encounter as much or as little as we wish. Our experiences vary vastly. The time we spend in a given village, town, city or country can change our view of the world as much or as little as we wish. It is our own prerogative on how much we wish to be "involved" with our surroundings.

For instance- the longer you spend time in a place the more likely you are required to find a hairdresser. It is true that if you wish to know something a about a village, town or city- go find a good hairdresser.

So what defines a good hairdresser?

Simply this: A exceptionally creative person with a good ear and the silence of a catholic priest in a confession box.

The best entertainment or counselling experience comes from sitting in hairdresser for a few days. Sitting and just listening.

So was it with my last experience a couple of months ago. A group of lovely women ranging from 35- 73 having cocktails while having their hair done. The topic- relationships.

Sitting and listening, the same conversation tied all together. The space filled with, the 35 year old divorced woman a joyful lady of who lost a childhood love/husband and a single career women that never made a commitment and  the mistress of an unhappy husband.

What they all missed, was being loved and sharing the day to day life experiences, good and not so good, with a special person or soul mate as it is mostly referred to nowadays. The uncertainty is this: You never know when it comes around and you never know when it will be gone. Enjoy every moment. That is all that is certain.
