The thing about vunerability and openness
Vulnerability definition
Late Latin vulnerābilis, wounding, from Latin vulnerāre, to wound, from vulnus, vulner-, wound
Openness definition
a. Affording unobstructed entrance and exit; not shut or closed. b. Affording unobstructed passage or view
Vulnerability is like a good gossip session- the conversation is without obstruction, but leads to wounding. If not yours, someone else's.
Openness is like a good conversation with a true friend- there is now obstruction, but you know that they mean well and you are actively listening to new ways of seeing a situation. You are free to take and leave any bits and know that they love you anyway and will be there for you- regardless of your choices.
Choose who you are vulnerable to and who you are open to.
Openness is the stars in a night sky. The light in the dark.
Venus being the brightest.
