The cycle re-union! The pure joy of friendship reunited.

The owner of the little place called Pane e Vino in Pisa welcomed his friends who made a special journey to come and see their good friend. The sounds of joy were beautiful to witness.

Made more special was the symbol on the wall- no war and the olive branch hanging from the tree- peace, love and friendship shared with the simple taste of bread and wine.

Joy shred in a heartbeat :-)

The adversity of diversity

Adversity : A difficult or unpleasant situation (misfortune, trouble, difficulty, hardship, distress, disaster, heartbreak, misadventure etc.) Diversity : A range of different things (variety, miscellany, assortment, mixture, mix, range, medley,etc.) There was a time not so long ago when diversity was "the in thing". We travelled, met people, experienced new places, shared ideas, encouraged people to better situations, find solutions to their challenges etc. What the hell happened? Why is it that when I look at the news, newspaper, speak to people at social gatherings to find  time and time again that I get hit by the wall : diversity is all of a sudden the new adversity! The best way I could express myself was simple: I travel often. A great number of times I am able to learn the  basics of the language of the country I travel to. I mean basic.
